To ensure a comfortable and healthy living environment, the housekeeping staff performs the following tasks:

- Surface cleaning bathrooms

Student Responsibilities
Students are responsible for the condition of their room, furnishings, and any damages or losses that may occur during occupancy. Students should do all they can to avoid adding to the workload of our busy housekeeping staff. When staff have to do additional cleaning, they have less time for their routine tasks that are in place to meet established cleaning standards.
Do your part to help keep the residence halls clean:
- Dispose of trash in designated areas, making sure everything goes in—not around—the containers. Do not put personal trash in bathroom or lobby receptacles.
- Sort recyclable material by following the instructions on the receptacles.
- Clean up after yourself. If you make a mess it's your responsibility to clean it up.
- Put what you sweep from your room in the trash can, not the hall.
- Clean your room regularly.
- Never put food down the bathroom sinks.
Vacuum cleaners are available for student use. See your RA for information.
Computers
Ethernet Connections/Technical Support
Each residence room is wired for Ethernet connections so students can access the Internet with their personal computers. The software required for this connection and information on how to have the connection activated is available from Information Technology. Computer labs are available on campus.
Laundry Facilities
Fully equipped laundry facilities are located in each residence area for exclusive use by on-campus residents. Washing machines cost $1.50 per load, and $0.50 for each dryer cycle. Students must use LionCash+ to pay for laundry services. Report any problems with laundry facilities to Housing and Food Services.

Mailbox numbers correspond with the hall/room number, and will be provided at check-in, along with mailbox combinations. Students who move to a different residence hall room will be assigned to another mailbox. Mail is placed in student mailboxes Monday through Friday. Mailboxes are located between the Housing and Food Services office and the entrance to Tully's.

If you get a package that doesn't fit in your mailbox, you'll receive an email saying that a package is waiting for you. You can pick up your package at the Housing and Food Services office during the time specified in the email. You'll need to show your Penn State id+ card to claim your package.
Forwarding Address
At the end of spring semester, all students must submit a forwarding address to Housing and Food Services so your mail can be forwarded during summer break. Students should also contact companies and inform them of the forwarding address to prevent any delay in receiving mail.
