Special Living Options
Penn State Berks offers an opportunity for students to live with others who share common interests, values, and goals. Special Living Options (SLOs) are offered to all students who have an interest in any of five areas. Contact the Housing and Food Services office to find out how to request an SLO.

Green House
The Green House SLO, located in Cedar Hall, focuses on enhancing students' awareness of environment and sustainability issues. Green House members can make a difference on campus by developing environmental initiatives and further explore topics through interaction at a variety of social, educational, and environmentally focused programs.
Healthy LIFE
Members of the Healthy LIFE House are committed to living in and promoting a substance-free a free environment through responsible decision making. Students will focus on healthy lifestyles and are committed to further education on the risks of tobacco, alcohol, and drug use. Healthy LIFE House, located on the fourth floor of Ivy House, helps students in explore better choices for personal health and wellness, and provides social and educational opportunities for members.
Discover Berks
The Discover Berks SLO, located in Oakmoss Hall, is a living-learning environment opportunity for students who wish to explore more than one academic option before deciding on a major. In addition to the typical social and informational programs provided to first-year students, students are supported in investigating academic majors and careers through special programs and advising opportunities. Discover Berks is sponsored by the Division of Undergraduate Studies, and is an ideal environment for beginning university life and for exploring the many academic options at Penn State.
Connections
Members of the Connections House develop various associations by promoting the numerous campus clubs and weekend activities offered at Penn State Berks. Located on the third floor of Evergreen House, members explore ways to connect social and educational activities. Connections House sponsors weekend on-campus activities and trips to the surrounding area. Students develop methods to collaborate with campus leaders, faculty, and staff to develop specific weekend activities that will engage student interest.
