Penn State Altoona offers an opportunity for students interested in living with others who share common interests and goals. Special Living Options (SLOs) are open to all students – provided they have an interest in the theme. Students interested in an SLO can contact the Housing and Food Service Office for more information about how to request an SLO.

L.I.F.E. House (Living in a Free Environment)
Those living in this area will enjoy an environment where residents refrain from tobacco, drugs, alcohol, and other substances regulated by University policy. Residents who wish to live in this area should have a personal commitment to a substance-free lifestyle. This self-directed house offers special programs and activities geared toward students who want to enjoy a happier, healthier lifestyle.

















































Meningococcal Vaccination
All Penn State students residing in on-campus housing are required by state law to submit the Meningococcal Vaccination Certification form online. Visit the Meningococcal site for additional information.

LionCash+ Student Employee Payroll Deduction now available
Penn State student employees now have the option to have funds automatically deducted from their paycheck and deposited directly into their LionCash+ account.
