The Commonwealth Campus system, a division of Auxiliary and Business Services, was created to be the best teaching and learning enterprise in Pennsylvania, representing Penn State education at its finest. The colleges and campuses serve the educational needs of local Pennsylvania communities by promoting the development of intellectual and personal excellence in a supportive and inclusive learning community.

Housing and Food Services is represented at nine of the 24 Penn State locations (not including University Park). A director of Housing and Food Services, as well as one to four managers (depending on the size of the operation), oversees the management of the following areas at each location: room assignments, housing facilities, dining services, catering, conferences, Penn State id+ Cards, mail services, Bryce Jordan Center ticket outlets (Altoona only), and marketing.

The administrative team for Housing and Food Services is based at University Park, and is responsible for managing the overall operation of each campus. The administrative team oversees budgets, future plans, construction and renovations, marketing, project management, human resources, purchasing, and other areas. The team works closely with each campus and with student leaders to ensure that services provided by Housing and Food Services meet students’ needs.
