Employment Guidelines
Only full-time students with a minimum of 12 credits will be considered for employment. New student employees will be required to complete orientation and training.

Student employees will be required to work rotating weekend shifts. Students that wish to return to work for spring semester must work until the end of finals week. Schedules will work around final exams.

In order to be hired, student employees must supply Housing and Food Services with the information listed below. Students with incomplete information will not be permitted to work.

  1. An official government agency issued ID from one of the following:
    a. US passport
    b. Valid state issued driver's license
    c. An unexpired US Permanent Resident or Alien Registration Receipt card

  2. An original, signed Social Security card

  3. A blank, voided check, or the account number and the bank's routing transit number. As a condition of employment, the net payroll is directly deposited into either a checking or savings account with any bank.

  4. Miscellaneous information:
    a. Local taxing authority of student's permanent address.
    b. The number of withholding allowances claimed on the W-4 form.

  5. A class schedule copy

Meningococcal Vaccination
All Penn State students residing in on-campus housing are required by state law to submit the Meningococcal Vaccination certification form online. Visit the Meningococcal site for additional information.
