Laundry Facilities go cashless!
All on-campus laundry facilities only accept LionCash+ as the method of payment. A wash cycle will be $1.50 per load, and drying is $0.50 per cycle. Money can be deposited to your LionCash+ account through id+ Online at www.idcard.psu.edu.

Basic cable TV service is provided FREE in residence halls!

Housing and Food Services has entered into an agreement with Service Electric to provide basic cable TV service to each residence hall room free of charge (one drop per room). Students have the option of upgrading to extended service for an additional charge. To make the arrangements for this additional service, contact Service Electric at 800-233-9100 or 570-454-3841.


Higher Grounds, a cyber cafe located in the Teaching Learning Resource Center, offers a variety of specialty coffee drinks, beverages, snacks, and a limited menu of sandwiches and salads.

Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.


LionCash+ is an online, prepaid flexible spending account accessed by your Penn State id+ Card. Deposit money into your account, and you will enjoy the convenience of being able to make purchases at participating on- and off-campus locations without having cash in your pocket. It's like having exact change all the time! The amount of your purchase will be deducted from your account and your remaining balance will be instantly displayed. There are no forms to fill out or fees to pay to participate - simply activate your account with an initial deposit!

LionCash+ is accepted for payment at the Penn State Bookstore, HighAcres Cafe, Higher Grounds, on-campus laundry facilities (for on-campus students only), and select off-campus merchants.

LionCash+ customers will receive a 10% discount on food and beverage purchases made at HighAcres Cafe, Higher Grounds, and other dining facilities operated by Penn State Housing and Food Services.
