Housing Info Sessions for Parents
Parents and families visiting during Parents and Families Weekend are invited to attend “Housing Options Beyond Your Student’s Freshman Year”, a discussion hosted by Housing and Student Affairs, on Saturday, October 3, at 100 Thomas Building. Sessions will be held at 12:45 p.m., 2:15 p.m., and 3:45 p.m. At the sessions participants can ask questions, meet the staff, get information about off-campus housing, and learn more about the eLiving Housing Contract System and timeline.

Changes to Campus Phone Service
Changes to phone service in residence halls and on campus apartmentsBeginning with the 2009-2010 academic year, there will no longer be landline phone service in residence hall student rooms and campus apartment bedrooms. As of summer session 2009, students living in the residence halls or campus apartments who want landline phone service in their rooms will need to request the service at their area commons desk. This year there will not be a charge for student room telephones activated. In room telephone lines will be restricted to local use, unless you use a personal calling card. All resident students will be able to make campus and local calls from the landline phones that will be available in the hallways of residence halls and in campus apartment common areas.

Summer Session Housing
Upper class students interested in University Park housing for summer session should email the Assignment Office at assignmentoffice@psu.edu to request a contract. Students should indicate the date their classes begin and end. Contracts will be offered for that length of time based on a Sunday arrival and Saturday departure. Rates for summer housing and meal plans can be found online. Students will be offered a contract through eLiving, space permitting.
